I was 4 cm at 36 weeks and made it to 38 weeks (and could have made it longer probably). I was actually 2 cm, 80% effaced at 26 weeks. I was put on bed rest until 36 weeks, so the situation was a little different. But even without bed rest after 36 weeks (and already 4 cm dilated), I made it another 2 weeks.
