Hi, I'm a long time visitor, first time poster. As I stated, I have a 99 Sportsman 500 with no spark. I rode it, parked it for 10 minutes, and tried to start with no luck. I did some basic troubleshooting and found out that there was no spark, not even a weak or single spark. I know it's harder to get to on the 570, but with my machine it's less than 5 minutes to get it up and running if it's the plug.turn the key nothing hapens. no power at the key atall. all fuses and relays are good. grounds are good. I bought it new and it only has 100 miles or less on it. A few days ago I was driving and it started missing and then quit. Thought it had ran out of gas but it was full.New plug gapped to .0325. Because the engine doesn't run the battery isn't recharged as I try to start it. I externally charge the battery to between 12.6 & 13.0. I just ordered a new solenoid as it didn't ohm out 2.5 + or - 20%. Once that is installed (and works!!!!) I'll look at the no spark issue.
