Crazy idea came to mind! What if I bought a 20 gauge moss shockwave. SBS tax stamp it. Have vang comp do the barrel treatment, except no porting because I don’t think that tightens the spread. And then just use regular #1 buck in it. I did a form 1 on my Shockwave and after getting the stamp back added a Magpul SGA stock. It already had a XS big dot on the bead. This thing is shooting 10-12 inches high at 7 yards. I have an older 870 that's already SBS'd with a 12" barrel, thought about turning it into a 6-7" super shorty/breacher as discussed here but don't have the tools to do it. It would be nice if you could find serbu shorty kits or older MCS type kits for your SBS.The Beez scabbard also stays very secure when drawing the firearm, which is another major plus over the Voodoo. After lots of practice, I was consistently able to draw and fire in about 3 seconds (from a loaded chamber, safety on condition). Overall, I found it very unobtrusive and surprisingly comfortable.

I think the shockwave platform is more capable than it’s given credit, but it does have limitations compared to full size shotguns. As long as you’re building to those limits, and have reasonable expectations, you can have a kick ass little build. Beautiful opinion!
